ORDINANCE nO. 7345
Since 2019 the city of Pasadena has required seismic retrofits for wood-frame "soft story" buildings that were built before 1976. In May 2019 the Pasadena City Council passed Ordinance No. 7345 to identify vulnerable buildings, and establish a process for retrofitting these properties. As of September of 2018 - all notice letters have been mailed out to property owners by the Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety.
